About the role
As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will build and maintain strong strategic collaborative partnerships with a dedicated panel of complex, high value Vero brokers. You will influence and collaboratively network with underwriters, claims and credit teams to deliver customer-focused service to help brokers grow their business.
You will be responsible for joint strategy development and objective setting with Brokers and following through on all supporting activities to ultimately deliver GWP retention, profitable growth and broker satisfaction.
More specifically you will
- Plan and maintain collaborative partnerships with key staff (particularly at executive level) in broker panel offices in line with established service and value propositions
- Develop an intimate understanding of each broker’s business structure, complexity, political drivers, culture, clients, issues, risks, needs, systems, constraints and objectives
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and key brokerage staff in strategic business planning activities to develop competitive strategies, joint objectives, supporting activities and a monitoring plan that focus on the achievement of joint growth
- Customise Vero’s service and value propositions and target markets as well as specific product features, target markets, advantages and benefits to match broker needs
- Gather and analyse industry and market intelligence to identify opportunities and trends and share these insights to build understanding and improve Vero’s competitive advantage and positioning
- Coordinate meetings, develop and deliver training and sophisticated bespoke presentations,
Knowledge and Experience
- Demonstrated strategic business solutions capability
- Relationship management experience is desired
- Proven capabilities for managing virtual teams
- A proven commitment to delivering a quality differentiated customer experience
- Established networks across the Group with strong working knowledge of the Groups way of working and processes
- Ability to manage change in a positive manner
- Able to lead working group teams and Corporate Partners effectively, removing any uncertainty around partnership setup and way of working, whilst still delivering performance results
- Able to successfully create and execute a project plan or initiative plan to move individual and team performance and improve results
