About the Role
Applications are invited from experienced, professional Business Development Representatives to provide account management of existing customers as well as the development of new business.
We require a "hands on" individual, experienced in selling in the highly competitive building industry market to hardware stores, specifiers, architects and builders. BGC's NSW office is located at Bankstown in Western Sydney, however country travel within NSW will be routinely required. Candidates from the NSW Central Coast are encouraged to apply.
The role reports to the NSW / ACT State Manager, key accountabilities and job requirements include:
- Developing new business opportunities to meet and exceed targets and grow profit;
- Liaising with key influencers, estimators, architects, specifiers, builders and developers and following through to successful inclusion of BGC products on building projects;
- Managing existing accounts;
- Representing BGC at Trade Shows and industry events
- Reporting as required
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Strong technical aptitude and an understanding of building;
- Strong industry contacts;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated success in business development with the building and construction industry to builders, architects and hardware stores;
- The ability to be self-driven and to work autonomously or as a team member
- Sound computer skills.
- A current driver's licence
