About the role
As the Queensland Territory Manager, you will be required to call on all major and minor mining clients, to identify both capital equipment and parts sales opportunities for preventative maintenance programs and processing improvements. You will be responsible for providing a high level of professional customer contact, targeting new sales opportunities and staying abreast of the competition.
Skills and Experience
- Have either a mechanical trade or tertiary engineering background
- Have a sound commercial understanding of complex tender and sales negotiations
- Have a demonstrated sales background in the rotating equipment, mining process or engineered products sectors,
- Have the ability to cross-sell capital equipment, parts and trades service into various areas
- Possess an outgoing and structured approach to setting strategic sales targets and managing your daily and weekly activities
- Be confident in working autonomously but at the same time be a collaborative team player, who shares his experiences with others
- Have an understanding of the value chain in the mining processing applications sector
Duties
- Maintain an active sales presence within the Queensland market, calling on existing and potential new clients in the Central and Lower Bowen Basin
- Work closely with senior managers in identifying and maximizing new capital opportunities
- Be the primary contact point between the customer and your internal stakeholders
- Maintain an accurate reporting process on all won and lost opportunities and market activities
- Develop sales strategies to target additional customer needs through maintaining sound contact with your client base
