Software Sales / BDM

We are happy to bring to market an exciting opportunity to work with a huge name in the Melbourne software space! We are looking for a driven Software Sales Executive / BDM to join this expanding and successful sales team from the HQ in the CBD. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious team player who loves all things new technology with a real hunter mentality. Someone who can manage new SME business growth and most importantly has a competitive nature to win.

Working alongside the regional sales team, the role’s day to day will focus on building new sales relationships across Melbourne, acting as a consultative thought leader with potential clients. 

This role would suit a seasoned BDM with a Hunter style yet consultative approach and a background in Software Sales. Someone who isn’t afraid to get on the phone, able to speak to all levels of business contacts, experience in Demos / face to face pitches and wants to build a fantastic career in the Australian Tech scene.

Role Responsibilities

  • New Business Development in the Software space (SME level).
  • Working with marketing and internal SDR's to keep pipeline activity high.
  • Approaching and visiting new potential clients and customers.
  • Nurturing existing accounts, promoting Up/Cross sell opportunities.
  • 80% BDM 20% Account Management.
  • Keeping up to date on new technology advances and market trends.

 

Candidate Requirements  

  • 2+ years’ experience in a B2B focused Sales role.
  • Experience and broad understanding of the Software sales market place (Major players, Sales Cycles, Subscriptions model etc)
  • Able to manage multiple prospects and accounts at the same time.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder skills with ability to develop and maintain relationships across any industry.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Driven sales professional with high energy and drive to win.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce.com an advantage).
