Our client is an established leading national supplier of fibre optic cable assemblies, cables, tools, accessories and associated products. With a true national footprint and unique local manufacturing capability, they have a broad and comprehensive offering to service consultants, end users and contractors in the Telecommunications, Defence, Mining, Utility, Banking, Health, Government & Education sectors. 

   
Position & Responsibilities

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for engaging with Tier 1 Electrical Contractors, Consulting Firms and End Users in the Sydney market. You will identify new project opportunities with new and existing clients and prospect for potential new business opportunities.  This role has a heavy emphasis on account acquisition and development, working closely with clients, assessing requirements and tendering for projects.

   
Requirements

  • Demonstrated sales or business development experience in Structured Cabling, Racks & Cabinets, Critical Power or related data centre infrastructure product
  • Proven & demonstrated track record of success
  • Broad market knowledge across Enterprise and Industrial / Infrastructure, ideally supported by reference able networks with Contractors & Consultants in the local market
  • Sound technical aptitude
  • Highly developed communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and develop tangible long term commercial relationships.

   
The Offer

The successful applicant will receive an attractive salary package commensurate with experience, including a base salary of $90,000 - $110,000 plus Superannuation, a Fully Maintained Company Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance and incentive scheme, as well as the opportunity to establish yourself with a leading national organisation!
