The opportunity we present is as a Senior Consumer Insights Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and driving research across the Group to support improved customer understanding and engagement, using traditional research approaches as well as more innovative research techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Action and conduct end to end research, “test and learn”, immersion, and other engagement activities, including member facing research as required by the business
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and teams across the business to identify potential knowledge gaps
  • Evaluate business needs, and recommend, design and tailor appropriate research to meet the brief
  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of reporting to maximise the potential for appropriate usage by the business
  • Develop targeted presentations and workshop findings into the business
  • Work individually and collaboratively to identify opportunities and apply segmentation and data enhancement platforms to add value to insights
  • Design, implement and continuously improve key member experience feedback instruments, in line with changing technology, customer accessibility, and industry best practice
  • Deliver accurate, insightful and actionable information against fixed reporting timelines.
  • Work with the customer experience stakeholders and business units to identify and deliver service improvement projects, and measure the results of these

Essential

  • 10+ years’ experience working in the market research industry, preferably on both the supplier and buyer side of the business.
  • 8+ years working directly in the quantitative research space, including complex survey design, statistical analysis, interpretation and reporting
  • 5+ years’ experience undertaking focus groups and in-depth interviews, including in the co-creation space
  • Tertiary level qualifications (e.g. bachelor degree) in a relevant discipline such as marketing, communications, psychology, science (with psychology)
  • Great communicator with superior written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to take information from a range of sources and translate it into clear and actionable insights
  • Proven ability to translate complex sets of data and analytical reports into clear and simple communication suitable for different target audiences
  • Superior stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills, and experience negotiating contracts, project outcomes, and time frames.
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong numeracy, statistical and analytical skills
  • Excellent and thorough attention to detail and judgement, including ability to immediately identify any potential flaws in an approach or data set
  • Natural curiosity and a willingness to try different approaches
  • Genuine interest in market research methodologies and finding out more about what makes people tick

Desirable

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of more complex quantitative techniques
  • Computer literacy (survey software, online qualitative platforms, Q, excel, PowerPoint)
