RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively follow-up and qualify leads provided to you by marketing department
- Develop new business via telephone and execute drip email campaigns to specific segments for follow up and participate in the development and creation of nurture programs.
- Effectively utilise social media for engaging with and researching prospects including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Follow up on marketing generated leads and conduct research to identify additional potential prospects
- Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how the Information Builders solution will speak to those needs
- Identify key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline
- Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel
- Develop and build relationships with prospects that create a positive image for Information Builders and its solutions
- Ability to penetrate target organisations at all levels to uncover critical issues, initiatives and key contacts
- Keep accurate and detailed records of calls made and results achieved
- Achieve activity levels required to meet specified SOPP, pipeline and sourced revenue targets
- Understand and manage personal performance on a daily basis
- Participate in campaign design and briefings
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Information Builders products and services and the objectives of specific campaigns
- Act as a representative of the company and represent the company's interests at all times
- Use company question flow guidelines appropriately and follow detailed briefs to conduct engagement through a variety of channels as defined through discussions with Field Marketing
- Provide feedback and input to Field Marketing to ensure that activity levels are maintained and calling is optimised from inbound & outbound campaigns
- Record details of opportunities and lead notes in Salesforce CRM
- Follow the lead qualification process ensuring lead and activity status is always current
- Ensure compliance with Sales-Marketing SLA in lead handling performance
- Build relationships with direct sales and channel partners to ensure the efficient handoff of and acceptance of opportunities in line with our lead management process
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years in a front line B2B telephone sales or telemarketing role, ideally in IT
- Strong understanding of modern prospecting techniques, with knowledge of the modern buyers journey & social prospecting
- Excellent communication skills and a competent and confident telephone manner are also key
- Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and willingness to build on your strengths
- Demonstrate a track record of driving sales pipeline – in collaboration with marketing and independently
- Excellent verbal communication and sales skills
- Credible and persuasive seller with the ability to engage both IT and business unit executives
- Knowledge of data integration, data integrity, master data management & business analytics concepts, systems or products is a significant advantage
