Featherdale Wildlife Park is based in Western-Sydney and boasts the world’s largest collection of Australian animals with over 260 species and more than 1700 animals. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. You must be a team player with a hands-on approach, a person who can quickly develop a passion for our experience, and have an outstanding work ethic and the ability to lead by example.
Key Responsibilities:
Business development:
Drive sales and maximise revenue
Manage assigned sales distribution channels
Identify and act on new business opportunities
Manage trade relations through contracting, negotiations, trade shows, famils, sales calls etc. for your assigned markets
Trade marketing:
Stakeholder management – trade customers, industry partners including competitors, Destination NSW, Tourism Australia, ATEC and regional tourism authorities
Represent the company at industry events as required
Essential Selection Criteria:
Undergraduate degree in Commerce and/or Marketing and/or International Business
Minimum of five years' experience as a BDM and/or Sales Manager.
Thorough understanding of the international and domestic tourism distribution network
Strong existing relationships within the tourism industry
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Desirable Selection Criteria:
Strong international tourism sales experience
Self-driven with enthusiasm and an appetite to achieve and succeed within the tourism industry.
