Account Manager – New Business

Monier is a leading manufacturer and supplier of roof tiles across Australia and New Zealand. We have operated for over 100 years and have a proud history and reputation in producing quality tiles and making homes beautiful.

We have an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to join our Sydney team. This role has a new business focus and will be responsible for hunting opportunities and helping to drive growth of our products across Sydney Metro and regions.

In this role, you will bring your hunter mentality and experience and focus on –

  • Identifying potential businesses, builders, architectures and designers to target new business opportunities
  • Proactively uncover and pursue all business opportunities across Sydney Metro and regions
  • Establishing new business relationships and partner with key influencers to generate sales
  • Achieve business growth targets
  • Manage your accounts proactively to ensure your customers are aware of how Monier products and services support their business objectives – build mutually beneficial partnerships

To be successful in this role you will –

  • Have previous new business development experience with proven results
  • Previous experience in sales in a building supplies industry – commercial or residential
  • Previous architectural sales or design experience would be advantageous
  • Strong motivation to deliver results
  • Highly resilient
  • Excellent influencing skills with the ability to communicate across a range of business stakeholders to get results
  • Be able to work autonomously whilst being part of a team
  • Be passionate about sales and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy a challenge
