The Role
This position, reporting to the Sales Manager, Victoria and South Australia, provides an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful team with outstanding records as a solution provider for materials handling and automation applications.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Identify and target potential customers, whilst servicing and maintaining an existing customer base to increase market penetration
- Apply consultative selling of products, commercially focused solutions and display a deep knowledge of applications and customer processes
- Development of product/solution presentations, demonstrations and negotiations
- Technical sales support and advice to customers
- Proficiency at goal setting and customer visit planning using the existing CRM tool for tracking and reviewing sales activity and performance
- Management of a sales territory to achieve, and where possible, exceed sales targets
- Travel within the territory as required
- Collaborating with the Festo team and contribute to the supportive company culture
About You
The capabilities we are seeking include:
- Tertiary qualification - Engineering Degree in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines or equivalent desirable
- 5 years minimum experience in a technical or sales role related to automation product
- Knowledge of process valves, pneumatic controls, PLC's, sensors, vision systems and electronic/mechanical drives and controllers
- Dedication, strong results mentality and a proven track record in developing new business
- Interpersonal skills and confidence to engage, influence and negotiate with all customers, including senior decision makers
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking capability
