About the role 

Established business based in Taren Point, South Sydney is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Sales Representative for permanent role representing a well-known brand in the vehicle consumables industry.  Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be working within a small team, enjoy fortnightly interstate travel and have proven experience in achieving sales targets and maintaining customer relationships. The successful candidate will work with the team to develop and manage sales in Australia at a store level.

Duties

Fieldwork (70%)

  • Follow a national call cycle as the basis to build and develop relationships with key retail stores throughout the country.
  • Work towards budgeted sales targets for each store.
  • Obtain and process sales orders on the spot.
  • Merchandise product in-store to brand guidelines.
  • Suggest and implement merchandising/POS initiatives.
  • Represent the business at trade events

In-office (30%)

  • Sales call follow up work.
  • Strategise and plan for future calls.
  • Report back on findings from calls weekly/monthly- including competitor activity and potential opportunities.
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks such as new product forms, PowerPoint presentations, product development tasks.

Key skills & Experience:

  • Ability & confidence to talk to clients at all levels from managers, on- floor sales & storemen.
  • You will be someone who is strongly customer-focused, thrives on accuracy, autonomy, commitment and responsibility.
  • Proven sales skills in servicing customers.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills to build trust and connection.
  • Good computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and driven to succeed.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks.
