APM requires a highly skilled, very experienced employment specialist to work with our priority clients and assist them into employment.
A day in the life of this position:
- Meet and work one on one with priority clients, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, towards placement in employment
- Facilitate job applications and coach clients in the recruitment process including job interviews
- Coordinate major recruitment projects and manage vacancies lodged by employers
- Work alongside Employment Consultants to place job seekers into suitable employment
- Revel in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Negotiate with employers to ensure success of job placements
- Comply with database input requirements

Essential requirements
- Highly developed communication skills suitable for building rapport with clients and relating to employers in a wide range of industries with a genuine sales approach
- Demonstrated well developed written skills suitable for preparing proposals, sales briefs, job applications and selection criteria
- Well developed industry and occupational knowledge of the local labour market
- Ability to engage with the team of Employment Consultants towards achieving employment for mutual clients
- Motivated and able to engage clients
- Demonstrated understanding and respect for all Cultures, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures
- A strong track record of successful placement and retention of clients into employment
- Professional presentation
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Current driver's licence
- Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes
- Successful criminal history check
- Working with Children Check (depending on State legislation)
