Technical Support Representative

Fero Strata is seeking a full-time Technical Sales Representative to consolidate and strengthen Fero Strata's position in the Australian mining services market  and to develop profitable new business in line with the company’s growth plans.

The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Track major projects and build relationships with key decision makers within the industry by supporting the current team of technical sales representatives.
• Develop new business through establishment and management of strategic activity plans by region with specific customer targets reviewed regularly with the Strata Sales Manager.
• Optimise existing Customers spend opportunities by establishing regular planned visits and providing feedback to the business.
• Evaluate customer volume vs. sell price and maximise customer profitability return.
• Provide information to management regarding industry opportunities and current Customer status. Recommend plans to ensure client satisfaction/growth.
• Monitor competitor activity (status) within the market and provide feedback/recommendations to the management team about industry development activities/plans
• Be available to provide support to the sales team with other duties as and where required.
• Work collaboratively with the Sales Administrator to monitor and maintain the Strata sales quotation register.
• Provide customer management performance reports including;
  • routine product performance testing (pull testing) reports; and
  • monthly advance product forecast (usage) reports.
• Provide technical information and advice as required in relation to the application and performance of the Fero product.

The Successful Applicant will have :

• Demonstrated experience in selling of similar product and services.
• Strong communication and negotiating skills.
• Good knowledge of Galvanising Standards.
• Ability to work with a sales team.
• Ability to work independently or unsupervised
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of ground support standards and practices.
• Ability to drive long distances alone on isolated roads and carry out basic vehicle maintenance and repairs if required
• Ability to carry out hard manual overhead work in a hot underground mine environment
• Basic equipment maintenance and repair skills
• Identify, report and rectify issues with ground support products in situ
• Convey to customers operators the correct proceedures, methods of using Fero ground support products
• Experience and competence with Microsoft systems (including Word and Excel).
