Servicing the construction and civil industries with a range of engineered steel products Locker and Webforge are progressive companies manufacturing expanded metal, perforated metal, wire mesh, steel grating, handrails and curtains utilised in facades, balustrades, screening and interior applications. 

Locker / Webforge now has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join our team based in Townsville, QLD. Reporting to the Sales Supervisor, this role will be rresponsible for achieving sales and distribution targets by delivering high level customer service and undertaking safe, efficient warehousing and logistics practices. This position is a permanent part time position. The successful candidate will be required to work 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) and will ideally be flexible with their availability to work occasional additional days/hours when required.

 

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Takes direct responsibility for the coordination, preparation and submission of highest quality responses to quotes.
  • Accurate and timely data entry of sales orders and quotes into operating system to ensure due dates are met.
  • Maintaining relationships with customers and prospects customers to ensure customer satisfaction and future business opportunities.
  • Support Sales Supervisor and External Sales Reps with ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Responds to customer queries in regards to pricing, turnaround and technical information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Executes goods inwards /outwards and inventory control functions
  • Ensure all dispatch/receiving paperwork completed to required standard and in a timely manner.
  • Undertake stock counts as required.
  • Contributes as an active member of the Business by generating ideas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Takes responsibility for personal safety and supports the safety culture by modelling safe behaviour

 

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working in customer service, internal sales or warehousing function
  • Can do attitude and a passion for customer service
  • Well-developed safety awareness and orientation to process
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience using ERP system (preferably QAD)
  • Forklift license (or ability to obtain)
