With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Nelson (HO), we continue to experience strong growth and are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager in Melbourne to capitalise on the opportunities in the market at present and the traction we are currently achieving across Australia.  This is a unique opportunity to join a premier technology company that boasts an impressive client list covering a wide range of corporate and government interests across Australasia.

This is a varied and highly engaging role where every day you will represent the company in a sales capacity by building enduring relationships with both partners and customers to ensure customer satisfaction levels are constantly maintained and opportunities are converted.

To be successful in this role you will possess excellent communication skills and will be extremely customer orientated.  You will have experience developing new and managing existing channel partners in Australia and deliver to sales budgets.  You will understand the various distribution channels, customer industries, and technical capabilities of the SQL Services service range and be able to position these to partners and customers alike.

Applicants will be credible conversing at CIO level about the issues faced in providing mission critical database platforms, able to articulate the business benefits of technical strategies, have a sound understanding of the capabilities and directions of the leading players in the market and demonstrate enthusiasm for seeking new opportunities.

Experiencing selling services, especially Managed and Professional IT services, is desirable.  An understanding of relational database concepts would be beneficial but is not essential.

You will be a great problem solver and a persistent and resilient operator who is results focussed. An ability to prioritise and think on your feet is important, as is an ability to thrive under pressure. IT Sales or product management experience within the IT industry is desirable however we're looking for the right person so the ability to demonstrate transferable skills or knowledge will be acknowledged favourably.
