About the role
Due to continued growth we are now seeking a motivated sales professional to join the export trading and business development team. Reporting to the general manager this role will fulfill a key export trading and client management function within a growing, dynamic and service oriented team.

Duties & Responsibilities 
This is an interesting and challenging role in a growth industry. The key responsibilities include:

  • Assist senior business development team members with the achievement of territory sales budgets, with the view to taking on full responsibility for a territory once training is completed.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on sales and efficiently and accurately complete transactions.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity and ensure management is aware of emerging market trends.
  • Comply with the procedures, policies and ethical standards of the business in terms of sales, marketing, promotional activities.
  • Preparation of export documents for shipment, including EDNs, health certificates, Halal certificates, certificates of origin, forwarding instructions to freight forwarders and shipping companies
  • Ensuring customer requirements are met in terms of timely shipment of orders
  • At all times to present the company to external customers and staff in a positive professional manner.
  • At all times to act with integrity, honesty and professionalism with customers and staff.

Skills & Experience

  • 2 to 3 years sales experience in food/perishable products/export trading environments
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work within a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
