Sales Manager

Survival Systems International (SSI) is an innovative life-saving appliance manufacturer and service company that provides offshore operators and the maritime industry with the equipment, the instruction and the knowledge to achieve a safe evacuation when an emergency occurs on an offshore installation or a ship. SSI Australia is part of our extensive network of owned and operated services facilities around the world.
Our service facilities focus on Marine Safety by covering all aspects of servicing, maintenance, inspection, fault diagnostics, repairs, installation & commissioning of all types of Lifeboats, Davits, Winches as well as Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and other LSA equipment.
We are looking for a Sales Manager based at our facility in Victoria Australia whose role will be to increase opportunities for the company in the offshore and maritime industries throughout Oceania.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- An out going confident individual capable of reaching out to new customers.
- The ability to work autonomously researching potential new customers and opportunities
- Confidence in selling service as well as products.
- A flexible team player who knows how to get people 'on-side'.
- Experience in making first contact and establishing new customer meetings through means including but not limited to:
- Telephone contact and inquiry submission (cold calling)
- Social media and online presence
- Trade show attendance / exhibiting
- A credible, presentable & confident sales person with some technical knowledge.
- The willingness to learn and have an enquiring mind.
- The ability to be a problem solver internally and externally.
