With more inbound leads / new client enquiries than they can handle, this business is well positioned for continued expansion and success.
The Impact You’ll Make
This is a unique opportunity to work with leading online retailers in a relaxed yet challenging and rewarding role.
Sydney-based, you’ll take on three key responsibilities currently being managed by the company's founder – business development, client success and partner management.
Key objectives will include:
- To own and manage inbound lead qualification and the progression of good, profitable business; typically retailers with $1M to $50M in annual online revenues – there’s currently a backlog of over 100 enquiries
- To be the face of the company – meeting new and existing clients nationally, building trust with your informative, transparent, consultative, solutions-focused, non-aggressive approach
- To own and manage proposal completions / conversions – quoting accurately/conservatively to ensure win-win outcomes
- To close new projects, generating $2M-$3M+ in annual revenues; deal values typically ranging from $100K to $300K+ (NO outbound prospecting required)
- To maintain quarterly contact with 60+ active accounts – adding value, identifying opportunities to introduce additional solutions (new partners, etc.), solidifying relationships
- To manage existing and new partner relationships – keeping up with global trends in professional digital commerce services, identifying / engaging partners who can add value to clients and the company
You’ll join and be supported by an experienced, collaborative and passionate team of highly-competent industry professionals.
The Experience You’ll Bring
This role will best suit an engaging, client-facing sales professional who’s knowledgeable and passionate about eCommerce development and prefers to work in a dynamic but non-aggressive sales environment.
Preferred experience includes:
- Ideally, 3+ years in a similar client-facing solutions sales role with a specialist eCommerce focused digital agency – securing $100K-$300K+ projects; or
- 3+ years’ client-side eCommerce Account or Project Management experience with a well-known online retailer; or
- 3+ years’ high-value, client-facing solution sales experience in any industry WITH strong eCommerce full service knowledge (design, development, marketing, optimisation, etc.)
- Previous experience quoting Magento Commerce and/or Shopify Plus based projects will set you apart
- Previous technical experience (i.e. Developer) and/or a related degree (i.e. Computer Science) is advantageous but not required

- Seen as a trusted expert in eCommerce – consultative (non-salesy), able to keep momentum in the solution sales process and close but not aggressively
- Team and company focused – happy to put good business practice ahead of personal ambitions
- Sydney-based and able to travel interstate on occasion (i.e. Melbourne)
