About the Role:

Working 4 days per week (flexible). This role offers the chance to become a key member of the HR function, and grow your career, with exposure to every aspect of HR across a national organisation.  In addition, there will be the opportunity to fully own projects and partner with all sectors within the organisation.

Operating as a true generalist across all HR spheres, the HR Coordinator will be a high level user of a range of HR databases, processes and systems, and will perform a variety of generalist operational tasks to provide high quality and customer focused HR support. The role is involved in the continuous improvement of policies and practices ensuring that Amnesty is able to meet its changing needs and create positive human rights change. The HR Coordinator will ensure compliance with all workplace regulations and be a champion of our Enterprise Agreement. 

About You:

Looking to take that next step in your HR career with more autonomy in your work then this is for you!  You're an outstanding communicator with superior organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Your ability to prioritise, problem solve and take responsible initiative in this fast paced environment is essential to your success.  You will have completed or be studying towards tertiary qualifications in HR Management or a related discipline and a background in the commercial sector will be highly regarded. 

In addition you will have:

  • Your written and oral communication skills will demonstrate confidence to manage correspondence to a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Interpersonal skills that demonstrate an ability to build, develop and maintain positive reciprocally beneficial relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards
  • Previous experience in best practice recruitment across a diversity of roles is highly valued, inclusive of interview guidance and working closely with Managers
  • A proactive flexible ‘can-do’ approach is vital working both collaboratively with a close knit team and as an autonomous effectively focused achiever
  • Intermediate skills in all software platforms of MS office Suite, Gmail and Google drive functions
  • Previous experience administering a HRIS, LMS or other HR database is desirable
