A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Training & Development Officer to join the Elders Team based in Parramatta on a permanent full-time basis.  

Reporting to the National Training & Development Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the coordination, delivery and training and development of Elders Insurance Agents, Salespeople and Sales Support Officers.

The key responsibilities for this role include the following, but not limited to:

  • Deliver training to Agents and their staff
  • Conduct training needs and gap analysis and incorporate information from Agent Representatives, Regional Management and the National Training & Development Team (as well as other key stakeholders as appropriate) identifying trends and developing appropriate responses to issues identified
  • Develop and maintain a training plan based on the Training Needs Analysis
  • Incorporate proactive evaluation of delivered training, and review of training course quality and effectiveness, in addition to actively engaging in projects and providing assistance/advice where required
  • Assist with developing and delivering national training initiatives as required, and publishing and maintaining a programme of training events on Elders intranet site
  • Have the capacity and ability to undertake travel through NSW & ACT
  • Onboarding and Induction of New and Greenfield Agencies

To be successful in this role, the following skills and experience are required for this role:

  • Tertiary or Industry recognised qualification in Training & Development, Adult Learning or Vocational Education, minimum of Certificate IV Training & Assessment
  • Equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation and experience in the delivery of training via multimedia
  • Tier 2 and/or Tier 1 General Insurance qualifications desirable
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of the General Insurance industry
  • Well developed presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Highly developed skills in organising and facilitating coaching and development activities within a Technical and Compliance framework.  
  • Demonstrable and proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task together with excellent organisational and time management skills;
