About the business

The Protector Group started over 22 years ago on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia and we manufacture, import and supply a wide range of quality products including barrier and security doors and windows, balustrades, decorative screening, lifestyle, garden and fencing products including gate hardware to Bunnings Stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

As we continue to grow, our brands include the Make It Easy range of Screens, gates and boundary fencing with Josh and Jenna from the block, Protector Aluminium Pool Fencing: FENCING YOU CAN TRUST FOR LIFE and the Make It Secure Security and barrier doors.  Continuing our growth, we created Protector Premium to distribute the new THE ARCHITECTS CHOICE range of stainless steel and glass pool fencing and balustrade.

About the role

Are you an experienced Human Resource professional who thinks strategically but still wants to roll up your sleeves and work alongside others to get the job done?

Reporting to the Group General Manager, do you want to be instrumental in driving the Strategic Direction across the Protector Group of Companies?

Collaborating with the Leadership team across the Group of Companies you will develop and implement strategic initiatives that will drive and support a highly engaged and performing "family orientated" workforce.

To be successful you will need input and buy in from others so you must be able to build relations with others at different levels quickly in a professional, engaging and credible way. 

Cooperatively working with and through our people in order to complete tasks will be key to the role.

You will have the ability to juggle and balance a dynamic environment, strong sense of urgency (as we are growing and fast paced) with the quality focus on getting things done and embedded in the business correctly.

What will I need to succeed?

You will have extensive background providing strategic and operational HR and organisational Development support functions in a complex environment.  With experience relevant to take overall responsibility for our Quality Management System including developing business strategy and policy documents, organisational development, change management, Employee Relations, Grievance prevention & dispute resolution, workplace investigations, remuneration, development of leadership programs, & professional growth plans for the teams as well as recruitment, Induction, Learning & Development, performance management and Health & Wellbeing programs.
