ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Group General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the HR function of the business, with a focus on recruitment co-ordination, advice, policies, procedures and workforce planning.

Specifically, this role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Recruitment and selection
  • Employee onboarding
  • Performance management
  • Training and Induction processes
  • Workplace health and safety
  • Employee advice
  • Coaching, counselling, development and any disciplinary actions

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 2 years of HR generalist experience
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources
  • A self-driven, self-motivated team member to proactively provide HR advice and administration support
  • The ability to build key relationships across the Company
  • Effective problem solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including negotiation
  • Have a proven ability to improve processes and performance
  • A working knowledge of recruitment systems
  • A good knowledge of guidelines and specifications in accordance with fair work and relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to interpret awards, enterprise agreements, policy and procedures and provide advice to employees and management

Ideally you are currently working in a Retail or Wholesale HR environment. Your ability to analyse and solve problems, communicate and listen effectively, whilst using your technical expertise will see you succeed within the business through determination and innate sense of caring for the customer that is the employee or candidate.

You will interact with ease with all departments and through adaptable multi-tasking skills, you will deliver more than HR support to the business.

An easy-going but determined attitude will set you apart and ideally you will have delivered these capabilities in the fast-paced apparel and footwear sector.
