The Company:
Our client is an international market leading manufacturing company with a long-standing history of supplying their innovative, high quality products to a global market. They have a unique opportunity available for an EHS Officer to join their Head Office in Dandenong on a fixed term contract until the end of 2018.
The Role:
Reporting to the National EHS Manager, the key focus of this position will be to plan, establish, implement, review and maintain a variety of work, health, safety and environmental systems, processes and procedures to assure the highest degree of safety on site.
More specifically you will be responsible for:
- EH&S Administration - maintain, review and control HSE documentation
- Risk Assessment & Hazard Control including routine safety inspections and area audits
- Accident Investigation including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Route Cause Countermeasure (RCCM)
- Emergency Response procedures
- EHS Training, Employee Advice, EH&S Site Committee and Contractor Management
- Return to Work, Rehabilitation and Workers Compensation
- Reporting on lost time, medical treatments, first aid, near misses
In addition to this it is expected the successful candidate be involved in quality auditing and ensuring compliance to the QMS.
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role you will have qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, including Return to Work Coordinator certifications and previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry. You must have:
- Prior knowledge of SAP and Intermediate skills using Microsoft Word and Excel software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently, be proactive and drive change
