The Opportunity
Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has become available to lead our Contractor Engagement Team to source and onboard a safe, high calibre, fit for purpose, compliant independent contractor workforce to drive Skybridge’s objective of delivering best-in-class performance for installation of complex infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on role that requires strategic and tactical skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high change environment and view every tight timeframe as an opportunity to shine.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Attract and source contractors and candidates through a variety of channels, including research, internal and external database searches, online job boards, LinkedIn, social media sourcing, campaigns and referrals;
- Develop acquisition strategies which align with Skybridge’s resource requirements;
- In consultation with the business, understand and anticipate workforce planning requirements to manage future Contractor numbers, location and competency requirements;
- In collaboration with the General Manager - HSEQ and divisional General Managers design and implement a contractor training framework
- Facilitate contractor compliance, onboarding and training;
- Enhance and support Contractor engagement levels, through the provision of timely, high quality service, support and communication, and where appropriate, advocacy;
- Develop and implement Contractor engagement processes, procedures, systems and reporting; and,
- Leadership and management of the Contractor Engagement Team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in attracting, sourcing/recruiting contractors/employees in technical field services such as utilities, telecommunications, construction or trades essential;
- Prior leadership experience in a services organisation;
- Tertiary Education in a relevant discipline;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly regarded; and
- Proven ability to manage through adversity, remain objective and make good business decisions.
