Fantastic opportunity for passionate and innovative Learning and Development Advisor to join the People and Culture team at Transdev Queensland Bus and Brisbane Ferries. 

This is not your run of the mill learning and development role.   We are in the process of transformational change in the way we deliver our training, what we need to deliver and how we communicate with our employees.   We very excited to be introducing on-line learning for the first time in our business. We have chosen our Learning Management System (LMS) and are working through our project plan to kick off a pilot in August.

All we need now is an experienced and innovative learning and development advisor who can lead and drive this process to success in addition to getting buy in from our operational managers and employees on this new way of learning.    

This is an excellent opportunity for a learning professional who would like to re-set the learning and development agenda for our business.  As an L&D professional you will possess the skills and experience to:

  • Develop and lead the execution of a new learning and development strategy and training plan which will incorporate the LMS and be focussed on building organisational capability
  • Review existing training programs and operational excellence assessment audits and provide improvement recommendations
  • Develop a new competency framework and clear career pathways for each role in the business
  • Partner with the business units to fully understand their training needs and implement an Annual Training Needs Analysis process
  • Explore and develop partnerships with RTO’s, Schools, Colleges, Universities in relation to Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Graduates, Interns and Work Experience students

Reporting to the People and Culture Business Partner, this is a newly created position leading and coaching two Operational Excellence and Development Officers.   You will be the learning and development specialist in the business, energising and inspiring your team and employees. Your previous L&D experience will be supported by tertiary qualifications in Education, Learning and/or Organisational Development and / or Certificate IV in Workplace Assessor Training.
