We are currently seeking a motivated, organised and experienced HR Officer with at least 3-4 years’ experience in a similar HR role to join our team in Sydney.

The role is responsible for the timely provision of effective and efficient HR and administrative support to the local Unit, National Human Resources and Payroll. The role exists to ensure legal compliance and completeness of employee records and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Providing daily operational support to the local management team on various HR related areas including, recruitment, performance management, discipline and terminations
  • Understanding and interpreting the EBA and relevant awards
  • Conducting and assisting with all complaints and investigations
  • Working closely with the National HR Department on all HR matters/investigations to ensure local compliance to company procedures
  • Managing the end to end recruitment, selection and exit process
  • Completing all administrative tasks including HR & Payroll related support
  • Understanding and management of work rights and Visa’s
  • Managing all employee training needs and records
  • Educating managers and employees in relation to the issues resolution policy
  • Managing new employee inductions
  • Ensuring timely supply of relevant documents are sent to our Head Office and follow up with respective stakeholders

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
  • Use initiative and be strong in multi-tasking
  • Ability to resolve conflict at all levels
  • Experience in handling confidential issues
  • Ability to deal with differing personalities and cultures and to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Outstanding verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • An eye for detail
  • An organised approach to all processes and procedures
  • Be proactive and adaptable
  • Highly organised disposition with a strong administrative skill set
