We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and is passionate about making a difference to join our People & Culture team as a Safety Advisor.
 
Located at Banyo, Queensland  
 
You will be responsible for implementing strategies to encourage a culture of safety within multiple national sites. Travel will be required.
This position requires the successful person to be very hands on.
 
Your primary responsibilities will be to:

• Work alongside the National Senior Safety Advisor to drive and embed the national safety strategy
• Manage all safety administration for all Lite n' Easy sites
• Maintain all site risk, incident and corrective action registers
• Ensure the national health & safety procedures are implemented and monitored, and raise team member health and safety awareness
• Manage, conduct and oversee incident and accident investigations
• Provide advice to all stakeholders on compliance and legislation in regards to WHS
• Participate in WHS committee meetings, prepare and distribute minutes and monitor actions
• Conduct risk assessments
• Maintain emergency preparedness, first aid, forklift and WHS representative registers and ensure adequate training and licensing is carried out
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all departments
• Experience in workers compensation and injury management

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience and success in driving behavioural change
• Demonstrated experience in improving the safety culture
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a safety role
• Strong knowledge and experience in contemporary risk management practices
• Have a good understanding of, and the ability to interpret WHS legislation at a national level
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence key stakeholders at all levels
