About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists at our Townsville Processing Plant for an Injury Management Coordinator. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to providing an effective professional service. This hands-on role is an integral component of the overall HR function and requires the successful candidate to provide prudent, timely and targeted Workplace Rehabilitation and Injury Management Coordination for the Townsville Processing Plant.
Responsibilities:
- Provide workplace rehabilitation assistance to employees in accordance with legislative requirements and Company policies and procedures
- Oversee the onsite Injury Management early intervention clinic
- Liaise with external stakeholders including medical practitioners and allied health professionals as required
- Consult with Workers Compensation Department regarding injury management processes and claims progression
- Compilation of regular reports and rehabilitation updates
- Oversee effective operations of site’s First Aid Department
- Ensure safe systems of work are followed in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
Criteria:
- Previous injury management experience is essential
- Experience gained in a fast paced, high volume, food processing / industrial / manufacturing plant is highly desirable
- Sound working knowledge of Workplace Rehabilitation Legislation (Qld)
- Qualifications in Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination (RRTWC – Qld) or equivalent vocational competencies are desirable
- Exposure to a self-Insurance organisation is an advantage
- First Aid qualifications will be highly regarded
- Experience administering Drug and Alcohol testing will be considered favorably
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively within a team
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Must have current Australian work rights.
