We are currently seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our high performing Human Resources team, based at our head office in North Sydney. This is an exciting new role for our organisation that will enable Gowrie NSW to continue to grow and live its Vision, Values and Strategic Intent.
The role
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the Recruitment Consultant is responsible for ensuring that all recruitment, selection, induction, and all aspects pertaining to the employee’s on-boarding with Gowrie NSW are well executed, and that hiring managers have the right on-boarding tools and resources in order for them to carry out their role effectively. Other important aspects of the position entail:
- Develop and maintain an on-going casual pool of Early and Middle Education & Care candidates to be used by Programs when the need arises;
- Effectively utilise social media sites such as Linked In to source attractive candidates;
- Develop and run assessment centres for bulk recruitment
- Proactively look for new and exciting ways to attract high calibre candidates to Gowrie NSW
- Be instrumental in the transition to an ERP
About you
This role would be ideal for someone who has previously worked in a recruitment agency on a high-volume temp desk, looking to make the next move in their HR career.
Key selection criteria include:
- Qualification in Human Resources management, business or related discipline
- 2-3 years experience working in recruitment
- Strong recruitment, selection and on-boarding skills
- Deep understanding of social media recruitment tools
- Strong candidate management / relationship building skills
- Effective communication, presentation and engagement skills
- Working knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, Discrimination and Harassment
- Ability to operate computer systems and software packages with sound Microsoft Office skills
