The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia, committed to working in partnership to help children and young people live their healthiest lives. SCHN provides a range of inpatient, outpatient and outreach services which cover a comprehensive range of services for children and young adults.  


In the Team Leader - HR Operations role, you will be developing and leading a small team to support the delivery of key service outcomes including the end to end employee life cycle for the Junior Doctors (Junior Medical Officers - JMOs) at The Children?s Hospital at Westmead. You will have a positive and professional approach with the ability to engage and leverage strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Utilising continuous improvement practices, you will strive to develop a reputation as a team of trusted subject matter experts.

This position is a permanent full time Health Manager Level 1 ($70,820.00 to $95,267.00 p.a. plus superannuation).

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated sound leadership experience in HR administration and / or operations in a large diverse service industry organisation
  2. Demonstrated successful customer service leadership experience while balancing the demands of a busy and process driven environment
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team to achieve high customer service and best practice results in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
  4. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) with proven ability to interact professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  5. Demonstrated ability to analyse operational processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing sound business practices to achieve optimal outcomes
  6. Demonstrated sound problem solving skills and ability to manage the resolution of complex issues
  7. Demonstrated ability to work with, analyse and report from HRIS (or similar) and IT systems, as well as the ability to utilise advanced level MS Office skills
