We are a leading provider of Automation and Control solutions for all mobile equipment in the mining industry and have an extensive range of solutions spanning five sub-brands, all of which deliver our clients increased productivity, profitability and safety. 

As the HR Assistant/Payroll you will provide high level of administration support for recruitment and other HR processes in this highly confidential role.  You will be the first point of contact within the group for all HR and payroll-related enquiries and have a strong focus on delivering an accurate and timely HR service both internally and externally for the group.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage HR and payroll enquiries from employees
  • Coordinate recruitment processes
  • Preparation of employment contracts
  • Maintain employee files and completing on-boarding and administrative work
  • Maintain HR records in various systems
  • Maintaining organisational structure documents including existing and new position descriptions
  • Assist with OS+H and ER matters
  • Assist with developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Process the fortnightly payrolls for the group
  • Process new starters and terminations
  • Process superannuation payments
  • EOM reporting
  • Producing reports as required by management
  • Other generalist HR/administrative and payroll duties as required

Your skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualifications (preferably a degree) in Human Resources
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a HR/payroll environment.  However if you have just completed your studies and are an absolutely champion in HR with the eagerness & passion to prove yourself then please apply 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
  • Great time management skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and build strong relationships across the group
  • Excellent computer skills including experience in Microsoft word and excel
  • Ability to adapt positively to change
  • Understanding and knowledge of various Awards, the Fair Work Act and OS&H legislation
  • Willingness and drive to research and understand other jurisdictions employment/OS&H laws (for example USA and Canada)
