About the opportunity

In this newly created role of Leadership Development Manager, you will work with embedded leadership & capability learning teams within Health Insurance.  Leading a small team, you will identify learning priorities, and design, curate and deliver programs that help our leaders to serve their people better today and prepare them for success in their future roles.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Be the primary conduit between Health Insurance (HI) and the central learning team
  • Lead a team that delivers leadership development to HI through frameworks as well as other BU specific needs and seeks ways to continuously improve leadership development in line with business needs and desired outcomes
  • Lead embedded programs supporting Diversity & Inclusion

You will be/have:-

  • Extensive experience leading and managing the design and development of learning programs/content and the understanding of where each learning modality is best applied
  • Design, development, and implementation experience with successful professional development and leadership development experience
  • Evidence of experience managing a budget and/or profit and loss and improving processes that measurably improved customer and team satisfaction
  • Previous experience of leading a team
  • Experience in a partnering role in a matrixed environment, desirable
  • Documented experience in;
    • Managing, supporting, and increasing the capabilities of team members.
    • Effective assessment of learning needs and ability to design, develop and implement learning solutions to meet business needs
    • Demonstrated results orientation and high productivity through setting high standards and achieving stretch goals
    • Developing and applying technology and assessment to measure effectiveness of services and products
    • Drive, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge of adult learning theories and methodologies
