A unique opportunity exists within this diverse and growing travel and tourism business for a strong communicator to manage a book of tour guides.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Ensuring smooth day to day operations of all guides and efficient staffing of all future tours
- Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver outstanding customer service at all times and that members follow set guidelines and safety procedures.
- Maintain business relationships
- Recruitment and training of new guides whilst supporting experienced guides with additional training.
Our ideal candidate will come from a travel/tourism background with experience in tour co-ordination, itinerary planning and/or a proven track record in group travel management . However if you haven't previously worked in travel/tourism, but you are passionate about this industry and you have experience in recruitment, rostering, training and general HR, we would still like to see your resume.
We require an excellent communicator with strong time management skills, high attention to detail and the ability to problem solve and deal with changes at short notice. You should have some knowledge of payroll procedures and must be able to prepare timesheets and invoices. Due to the nature of the industry, we require a flexible approach to be able to provide occassional after hours support to clients, tour groups and guides.
