Current Opportunity:

This role of the Recruitment Consultant is to work closely with the People and Culture team to develop and deliver effective strategies and services to meet BDO’s (Sydney and Melbourne offices) people talent sourcing needs. The role is responsible for partnering with the firm to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the recruitment function to its stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships across each Service Line including senior leaders to provide effective recruitment strategies and plans to meet their talent requirements
• Manage recruitment agency and supplier relationships including the establishment of Preferred Supplier Agreements and service terms
• Act as the key point of contact for all recruitment related service suppliers including SEEK, LinkedIn, cvMail, agencies and Psychometric testing
• Coordinate the recruitment requisition process in accordance with the BDO approval process
• Manage all aspects of the internal and external recruitment process spanning advertising, shortlisting, interviews, reference checking, production of contracts, addendum letters and making offers of employment when required
• Act as a P&C representative and interviewer for candidate interviews when required
• Coordinate relocations, secondment arrangements and support the visa application process, liaising with the BDO Migration Services Team as required
• Oversee the delivery of recruitment services in accordance with budget and report updates to the P&C Senior Manager
• Support the Recruitment Administrator in coordinating the graduate and cadet recruitment campaigns
• Actively promote the employer brand for BDO in all interactions with candidates’, agencies and professional bodies
• Lead recruitment projects and contribute to the delivery of P&C projects as required
• Provide reports for executive reporting

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

• Degree qualified or equivalent in a related discipline
• 2 - 5 years overall recruitment expereince
• Experience in a similar dedicated talent sourcing role in a medium to large sized professional services firm
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent knowledge in social media platforms – LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter (desirable) and Facebook
• Ability to manage high volume of vacancies with excellent organisation and time management skills
• Excellent relationship building skills, presents self in a professional manner and is a strong communicator
• Assumes responsibility and accountability, acts with integrity to reach desired outcome
• Works collaboratively to achieve a positive team outcome
