Our client specializes in Civil Construction, Quarries, Concrete, and Industrial and Asset Services. They have an amazing reputation and are considered an employer of choice. Currently they have an opportunity for an experienced HSE Advisor in Tasmania. If you have a sound background and passion for Health and Safety, solid experience in HSE and the desire to further develop your career then this opportunity is one not to miss!
In this role your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, Develop and Review current OHS practices
- Risk Assessments
- Audits | Investigations | Reporting
- Drive change programs
- Implement process change
- Provide Training and development
- Stakeholder Management
- Monitor procedures and internal programs
- Observe and implement change in terms of OHS strategies
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Sound background / experience in Health and Safety
- Knowledge / experience in management systems
- Comprehensive understanding of safety practice and models
- Knowledge and ability to interpret legislation, i.e. work Health and Safety Act & Regulations
- Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent competence)
- OH&S tertiary qualifications
- Exposure to risk management process and procedures
- Auditing compliance and reporting
