Your new role
Reporting into the Director of People, you will oversee the HR department through supporting the management. This is a 12 month fixed term contract that requires someone to lead the development and execution of the strategic people agenda in areas including succession and transition planning, managing change processes and employee motivation, learning and development, core leadership skills, and coaching leaders at all levels. You will be actively involved with designing and implementing cultural and talent initiatives and develop remuneration plans for the business unit.

Deliverables include but not limited to:

  • Provide high level analysis, expert advice and support to department managers and staff on employee relations and, industrial relations, employee relation matters
  • Strategic and organisational development focussed on future workforce planning
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process
  • Manage, coach and develop the People team to set goals
  • Develop, deliver, manage, advise on and support a range of other people management functions which may include discipline, performance management, workforce planning, policy development and implementation, capability development and reporting
  • Play a key role in the implementation and project management of key people projects and systems
  • Assist managers to develop Performance Plans and coach staff on issues affecting work performance

What you’ll need to succeed
They are ideally looking for someone who would like to grow and develop with the business but that also has strong experience in either a HR Management or HR Business Partner capacity. You will have had previous involvement in setting strategic direction for people and culture and possess outstanding negotiation, influencing and people skills. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to hit the ground running. You must be adaptable, capable of dealing with change and enjoying working within a team.
