Director HR Shared Services
- Shape the future
- Lead system-wide transformation
- Influential leadership role
Austin Health is one of Victoria’s largest healthcare providers and an internationally recognised leader in clinical teaching, training and research. The health service employs almost 9,000 staff; including over 1,000 doctors and 3,000 nurses and delivers a comprehensive range of leading edge clinical services, as well as state-wide services - liver transplant, spinal cord injury, respiratory support and child inpatient mental health services. Austin Health provides over 900 beds, including mental health, aged care and rehabilitation beds and a range of community and in the home services. Its annual operating budget is more than $900 million.
With a new five year People Strategy in place, the Director HR Shared Services will be responsible for leading a key pillar of the strategy with a specific focus on enabling our workforce through improved systems and processes. We’re looking for a shared services professional who has deep operations and process experience, coupled with a strong and collaborative leadership style. The role will leverage and lead a well-established and talented team to continue its focus on process re-design and delivery of new and improved services that enhance the employment experience of our staff. The team includes Payroll, HR Systems, HR Operations and Salary Packaging.
The Director will work in a culture that fosters collaboration and will continue to drive improvements, manage and resolve complex strategic, policy and operational matters.
Operations and Shared Services experience is more important to us than health sector experience, as is your ability to engage and lead your team, gain the confidence of your stakeholders and introduce and embed change. You will have demonstrated experience in creating a vision for a service and delivering it, and have shown agility and responsiveness in adjusting services to accommodate changing business priorities.
