About the role

Due to growth in the agency, we are currently recruiting an Account Manager to lead a range of PR, Communications and Marketing projects. Our expertise is in the tourism, retail and hospitality space so look forward to some exciting and delicious clients! 

The role is ideal for someone looking to take their public relations career to the next level from where you’re at (probably 3 or so years into your PR life now) ...and get to work autonomously, take ownership, as well as being able to bring your own ideas, clients (if you wish) and/or leap in and take ownership for existing clients.

Working closely with the CEO and a Senior Account Manager, the position will lead the agency’s PR and Comms clients with the possibility of becoming an ongoing role as the agency continues to grow its client base.

What you would be doing

Working with an Account Executive as well as a team of PR and Content specialists  you will be responsible for  leading a range of client projects including providing advice and guidance on new briefs, managing WIPs and project plans as well as liaising between clients and the internal agency team.  

You will be brainstorming and concepting campaigns, preparing media releases, proactively pitching to media and liaising with a range of social influencers. 

You will be responsible for briefing and managing designers and creative executions as well as working closely with the internal events and activations teams to integrate and amplify client activities.

Who we’re looking for

You will have at least 3 years experience in a PR, Communications or Marketing agency . You will have demonstrated experience in managing client projects and campaigns across PR, marketing, communications and events.

You will need to have the capability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously and the ability to work autonomously amongst a busy team. You will have enthusiasm, high energy and be self-motivated.

You’ll have a personable nature and the ability to build relationships with both clients, media and colleagues. 

Essential Criteria:

  • A great attitude!

  • At least 2 years experience as part of a PR, Communications or integrated agency

  • Your own network of media and influencer contacts as well as the ability to grow and build industry specific contacts for your new clients

  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to nurture and grow client relationships as well as relationships with colleagues, suppliers and partners.

  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce media releases and proactively pitch to media

  • A creative thinker, with demonstrated success in generating media worthy ideas and angles

  • High level organisation skills, with the ability to self-manage workload within specific hours

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Advanced verbal communication skills, with the ability to present at meetings

  • Advanced ability in a range of computer programs including Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn other administrative and financial computer systems
     

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

  • Experience with the retail, tourism, travel or hospitality industries

The fine print: A full-time role based on a standard 40 hour week with some additional on-call work out of hours and weekends. You must be eligible to work full-time in Australia to apply.
