Job Description

To join our growing team in Crows Nest, Sydney, we are looking for an experienced Print Producer to deliver our Print and Studio services to our global and local clients and our partner creative, media and PR agencies.

The Print Producer / Studio Manger will be responsible for all print production management across ATL, BTL, POS/instore, OOH and other activations. This will also include the supervision and management of our creative design and art studio team.

Supporting our Business Partnerships client service and cross-function project management group, you will play an integral role in ensuring our work is not only best in class, but it is delivered efficiently and effectively, ensuring the day to day production workflow is adhered to, defined, communicated and production standards are enforced.

With an astute attention to detail, you will be responsible for third party print sourcing and procurement, production estimating, project scheduling, quality control, pre-media management and resource capacity planning which includes access to a flexible freelance workforce.

What you'll spend your time doing:

  • Provide specialist print production management to projects from brief to delivery;
  • Provide project costings, production schedules and time allocations to Project Managent and Client Service teams;
  • Develop strong relationships with preferred suppliers and strategic business partners;
  • Negoitate and coordinate the art buying of services including photography, illustration;
  • Remain knowledgeable of print industry practice and new and innovative technologies;
  • Ensure technical aspects of all work is accurate to relevant production standards;
  • Oversee adherence to approval processes and procedures, monitor workflow processes and implement continuous improvement measures in order to minimize rework with a ‘right first time’ every time ethos;
  • Facilitate daily team WIP meetings and supervise delivery schedules;
  • Track studio productivity and report resource cost recovery and supervise timesheet reporting of team;
  • Collection of material specification for design team;
  • Quaility control of artwork output and match team capabilities to tasks based on skills and strengths.

 

 

Qualifications

You must  be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A sophisticated understanding of print premedia and colour management;
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise simultaneous demands and adapt and respond appropriately;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
  • A complete understand of all print methods and processes;
  • Well refined customer service and client management skills with the ability to build rapport and manage ongoing internal and external relationships;
  • A desire for quality and pride in all work produced; consistently careful and methodical with a strong eye for detail to ensure accuracy and consistent delivery;
  • Ability to work on own initiative; pre-emptive and proactive; constantly thinking ahead; demonstrating a hands on and highly organised approach to all tasks;
  • A deep knowledge of industry supplier services;
  • Proficiency to multi task seamlessly and manage competing responsibilities;
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a proactive approach to all tasks;
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions independently, escalating when required;
  • Intermediate to high computer skills across MS Office, Adobe Cloud;
  • An advanced hand-on knowledge of BCC/Spectra finance system;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
