THE RB OPPORTUNITY
To be considered you must have proven experience in creating innovative designs in the fashion industry with a strong knowledge in both print and textile design. You also must also be highly efficient and competent in using the CC programs (AI, PSD, IND), with a strong focus on Photoshop.
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding and versatile in working with CC Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Bridge.
- Advanced CC Photoshop (minimum 4 years) and retouching skills are highly preferable
- Photographic; capturing high quality images with a focus on studio photography
- Textile Design; including; repeats and setting up prints technically for production methods
- Graphic design; branding, digital and print layout design, large format POS
- Photographic/Design Eye; with a strong design sensibility and a natural creative flair; creating original design concepts, capturing great photos and attention to detail
- Digital design skills; including development of EDMs and other digital collateral is a bonus
- Strong understanding of design principles and their practical application
- Strong attention to detail and art-working skills. Knowing the importance of getting artwork right from the beginning
- Innovative design abilities whilst maintaining the RUNNING BARE visual identity and brand manta
- Always striving to achieve and exceed industry best standards with a great thirst for knowledge on leading design and trends globally
- Organisation skills; management of graphic collateral and photographic assets
- Liaison Skills; with printing and other suppliers; negotiating quotes, maintaining procedures, production and controls to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of graphic assets ranging from catalogues, brochures, business cards, to large format POS for instore installation
- Strong work ethic, with good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team; versatile, punctual, reliable, conscientious, and self-motivating
- Excellent communication skills; you can explain something to a non-designer quickly and with patience
- Confident and collaborative approach to concept work and ideation
- Deadline focused, especially when under pressure. Ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced environment
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Creating design assets utilising CC Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Bridge
- Production and management of premium photographic assets; from product imagery, studio photography, flat-lay, to on location organic, behind the scenes and social media shots
- Retouching photographic assets; deep-etching, retouching models, colour correction
- Textile design, including setting up repeats, correcting art files, and setting up a prints technically for production methods
- Graphic design; branding, digital and print layout design, large format POS. Including design and production of; print and digital catalogues, EDMs, business cards, brochures, postcards, and large format POS for RB store interiors and windows
- Assistance with marketing activities as required for inhouse and out of house events; set up of event spaces, providing all graphic and design collateral required for the event and ensuring that the design side of event runs smoothly
