Production Manager – Our client is a well-established, international publishing company, synonymous for developing market-leading resources covering print, digital and mixed media, they boast an innovative product portfolio. This is a rare opportunity for a Production Manager to play an integral role in the business’s overall success. In this exciting position you’ll manage a small team and will be actively involved in project management and continuous improvement, maximising quality and driving operational efficiencies across workflows/processes, suppliers and technology. Your role will include: Overseeing production processes and costs including tracking budgets; costing and schedule maintenance; sourcing service providers; communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders; identifying operational systems, workflow and process solutions (including digital); and setting standards for project schedules including monitoring and mitigating risks.
As Production Manager, you'll communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Exercising your developed project and process management skills and knowledge of production of books, pre-press, printing and digital technologies, you’ll be someone who can actively think outside the square and look for continuous improvement in all areas. As someone who enjoys variety and autonomy in your position, you’ll also enjoy a friendly team environment in an international company, where you can grow your career for the long term.
As Production Manager you must possess:
- At least 5 years’ recent experience, having worked in a similar position in a large business
- Tertiary qualifications
- Exceptional computer and software skills
- Demonstrated budgetary expertise including monitoring and reporting
- A friendly, professional communicative style, coupled with strong written skills and personal presentation
- A solutions-driven approach, a meticulous eye for detail and continuous improvement
- Solid project management and time management skills
