We are one Australia's leading consumer technology and appliance media Company, we need to a full-time editor and part freelance writers and editors who have a passion for consumer electronic gadgets.
Established in 2002 we work with some of the biggest brands in the world both online and via our stable of digital publications and information marketing programs.
We are also an exclusive media partner with JB HI Fi, The Good Guys and Virgin Australia. We own ChannelNews, Plug Magazine, SmartHouse and SoundMag and SmartOffice.
MANAGING EDITOR
We need a full-time editor who has excellent knowledge managing the workflow of publications.
You will be passionate about the latest in smartphones, sound gear TV’s and all the gear that retailers like JB Hi Fi sell.
You will be responsible for the in management of copy and work-flow across multiple publications.
You must be online and web savvy and use to online packages for managing content.
KEY STRENGTHS
Experience editing copy on a newspaper or magazine
Proven lifestyle editorial experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deal with deadlines and stressful environments
Highly focused, results oriented and achieves targets and goals
Strong attention to detail
Experience in all editorial software applications, for example, InDesign
Prior to establishing this Company, we built Australia's largest technology media Company.
FREELANCE WRITERS AND PRODUCTION MANAGERS
We also need to commission writers for our SmartHouse, Plug and our SoundMag publications. You will be able to write profile stories, reviews and generally be able to deliver crisp copy on a given range of technology subjects.
Base Salary for Managing Editor $70K.
