Our client is currently seeking someone multi-skilled across other languages such as Java and Python, to take advantage of technology offerings beyond the .NET platform and be capable of coding beyond micro services, and REST APIs, as required.

What your day will look like:

  • Developing REST web services on the .NET platform, using C# and the .NET MVC and Entity frameworks.
  • Work will be closely aligned with Business Analysts, architects, project manager, business areas, DBAs and data custodians.

Experience you'll need for success:

  • Developing micro services that retrieve data from the departments SQL Server databases upon request by a Service Bus
  • Container technologies such as Docker in the event we deploy services across operating systems.
  • Continuous integration technologies such as Jenkins and Wercker because we will be seeking to streamline system testing by intercepting software integration issues at the developer workstations.
  • Capable of writing and understanding API specification languages such as RAML and Swagger.
  • Capable of interpreting business information requirements provided by Business Analysts to author formal API specifications.

Candidates must be Australian citizens with a current baseline security clearance to apply, due to government security requirements.
