Millennium Consulting is a newly established business offering professional engineering consulting services to the rail transport industry.

We are looking to appoint a full time Systems Engineer specalising in Computer Based Train Control (CBTC) and European Train Control Systems (ETCS) within our growing business.

The role will be Sydney Based and may require interstate travel. Total Remuneration Package $110,000 - 160,000 p.a. plus super.

Job Requirements

• Analysing and interpreting ETCS and Computer Based Train Control System architecture and configurations
• Management of the installation, testing and maintenance aspect of ETCS and CBTC equipment to be installed on rolling stock and trackside infrastructure
• Management of integration into existing network infrastructure and communication systems
• Providing support and assurance for relevant data programming tasks and the overall integration with the existing interlocking control tables and communication systems
• Development of overarching assurance cases for the safe operation of ETCS and CBTC systems
• Monitoring and development of the performance of installed systems and associated maintenance tasks to ensure optimal and safe performance in line with operational expectations
• Provide troubleshooting support to maintenance staff for complicated integration and network communication issues

Skills and Experience

• Experience developing and maintaining ETCS and CBTC systems with ETCS Level 1 (Limited Supervision and Level 2 highly desirable) for both trackside and onboard systems
• Understanding of NSW governance rules and processes
