We have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Analyst with a strong background in development and integration to join our Fraud Analytics team. Working knowledge of fraud is not a requirement to apply for this role.

About the opportunity

Taylor Fry are a leading analytics and actuarial consulting firm providing advice and services to a wide range of business and government clients. Being natural entrepreneurs and innovators, we have launched into the fraud analytics space with great success and are now seeking a Technical Analyst to join the team.

The fraud team have created an industry leading solution which facilitates advanced analytics, investigation, case management and visual analytics, and the focus of this role will be to maintain the platform, implementing client specific modifications and developing enhancements. These enhancements may relate to UI including web pages, case management and dashboards which integrate into the existing data platform.  

As our current solutions are a mix of components and technologies, we need someone who is platform agnostic and able to deploy solutions based on the needs of the client. You will also need to have good troubleshooting, design and architecture skills. In addition, this role will provide application support to the internal fraud management team and internal stakeholders. You will also regularly liaise with client IT teams and vendors to help deliver outcomes for the firm’s clients, and so an ability to engage with people on a technical and non-technical basis is a must.

This opportunity has so much scope for progression. We envisage the right candidate working their way up to a Solutions Architect as the function becomes more embedded.

Skills and experience

We are looking for candidates who have a degree in computer science or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience and any relevant technical certifications. In addition, candidates must have the following:

  • Strong developing skills;
  • Working knowledge of open source technologies;
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems; and
  • An understanding of network and virtualisation fundamentals.
