One of Australia's largest MSP's are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join them on a permanent basis in their central Melbourne Office.
This role will require a candidate who has a background of project management, people management and client advisory.
Role & Responsibilities
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for an entire portfolio, including delivery, execution and financially. The role advising to large, enterprise level clients and involves direct line management of Program Manager’s, Project Manager’s and Project Co-ordinator’s. The Portfolio Manager will work with the Sales and Pre-sales team to review bids, estimate revenue, cost, resources and schedules. Ensure staff are billable to required levels to achieve budget and controlling headcount. Determine and manage the project team size including permanent and contractor resources. Effectively lead, coach and mentor the Project Management team. Promote project services to internal and external parties. Actively promote quality and appropriate working processes. Manage customer expectations, communication and documentation related to project Portfolio.
Skills & Abilities
Extensive Project / Program Management experience including PM certifications in large, complex environments. Line Management experience with proven ability to directly manage teams of 10+ team members. Knowledge of at least 3 different technology domains, example: Infrastructure, Network, Data Centre, Security, Microsoft, Cloud, Digital and Contact Centre. Responsible for teams with $1m+ service revenue. Proven Profit /Loss management across portfolio or large programs. Experience in submitting bids and management of IT contracts. Strong stakeholder management ability. Ability to influence and negotiating ability. Demonstrate effective team leadership, motivation and business acumen.
