Our Opportunity

OneSKY is a game-changer for Australia’s airspace. The project will unify Australian skies under a new, harmonised air traffic management system. This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. It will be the catalyst for better connectivity to underpin Australia’s sustainable growth into the future. OneSKY will transform Australia’ sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery. As such, we are looking to engage a Work Package Manager to manage the Tooled-Up Process And Automation referential. With an integrated development team composed of 20 to 30 System, Software and V&V Engineers, you will be in charge of developing a key functional increment of the OneSKY core Air Traffic Management system (Topsky NG).

Responsibilities

• Define, develop and industrialise the engineering referential of all the tooled-up processes
• Deploy, assess and optimise those tooled-up processes and ensure the right training to the relevant impacted teams
• Plan and coordinate the development in accordance with the agreed Software Development Plan and within the constraints provided by the agreed architecture, design policy, software assurance and software quality strategy and objectives.
• Optimise technical work against costs, schedule and risks from design to validation and acceptance of the solution
• Anticipate mid-term activities and ensure that they are ready to be launched including redundancy plans.
• Organise monthly review with Project Manager / System Engineering Manager, providing weekly status through dedicated KPIs

About You

• Degree qualification in Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience greater than 5 years in management of development of real time and distributed systems in Rail, Traffic, Marine, Aviation or any safety real time systems area.
• Knowledge in System and Software Engineering development processes and tools
• Experience in development and/or deployment of tooling and processes supporting software development
• Technical knowledge in System and Software Engineering development processes

Special requirement

Some overseas travel may be required on an ad-hoc basis
