Working as part of a team of Database and Application Administrators and Architects, you will be responsible for providing technical support in the delivery, management and operation of Middleware technologies.

As an Oracle Middleware Engineer you can expect to:
- Plan and test Oracle Middleware technology patch/upgrade paths
- Ensure relevant layers of infrastructure remain secure, up to date & supported
- Contribute to and maintain standards, procedures and documentation for Middleware layers of all Corporate Systems, utilizing version control and change control processes
- Pro-actively monitor application and middleware availability, performance and resource usage, feeding into capacity planning
- Optimise Application and Middleware performance, and provide performance and efficiency advice and education to development and support teams
- Build and cultivate effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including development teams, support teams and vendors.
You'll need:
Formal Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in Oracle Middleware Administration roles
Essential skills:
- Experience in installation, administration, tuning and troubleshooting of combination of the following Oracle Authentication/Identity related products: OAM, OID, OIM, OIF, OVD, OTD, OHS
- Excellent understanding and experience of Oracle WebLogic and Fusion Middleware architectures and deployments
- Strong Oracle Linux knowledge, including install, config and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of Linux file systems and networking
- Strong scripting capability: WLST/XML/Java/J2EE/Ant/Python
- Load balancer, Firewall, Reverse Proxy and Network knowledge
Desired skills:
- Experience with Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)
- Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX)
- Experience in High Availability, High Performance and Advanced Architectures
