About the business and the role
Centre Com is one of the leading ICT vendors in Victoria, servicing customers since 1998. We provide a complete IT solution for corporate, education and government sectors.
Our Education and Corporate Team is located at our head office in Sunshine.
Our range of products and services for the education market is very diverse and covers all the major ICT requirements for educational clients. Our team aims to provide a collaborative, consultative approach to develop a tailored solution for each school according to their needs.
To succeed in this role, you need to be a personable, confident communicator, ideally with prior experience in IT sales and able to demonstrate sufficient experience of selling services to the education sector, interacting with key personnel with Victorian schools and institutions.
You will be looking at ways to increase sales across all sectors of the educational market, focusing on improving relationships with our existing customer base and onboarding new clients.
The role requires the applicant to be highly motivated, organised and able to work independently to ensure that the team achieves their collective & Individual goals.
You need to be able to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to meet our client's needs.
Good communication skills are required and an open, friendly approach to working with colleagues.

Skills and experience
Demonstration of key understanding of the working practices of the education sector, working and selling closely with key decision makers. As such, you must have the following skills and experience:
• Demonstrated track record in Business Development and Client Management with at least 3+ years' experience
• ICT Hardware & infrastructure experience.
• Hardware and Education Sector working experience is highly desirable.
• Strong client-facing skills and effective selling to school managers, IT Departments, and or decision maker with a consultative approach.
• Tenacious sales mentality with a resilient personality.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to details.
• A passion for maintaining your own personal development
• Experience of delivering on sales targets whilst managing and controlling costs
• Demonstrable ability to build customer relationships at a senior level.
• Proposal writing and presentation skills
• Responsible and accountable for meeting deadlines.
