My client is seeking an Experienced Net Work Engineering contract for a short term piece of work which may extend.

Specifically, this involves:
  • Understanding of the data network, and it’s relationships and dependancies with other technologies.
  • 24/7 support of network infrastructure
  • Completion and maintainance of support documentation to a high standard
  • Development, operation and automation of processes for network services.
  • Optimising the way we provision and consume network services.
  • Ensuring security methods and processes are in line with security policies
  • Liase with 3rd party vendors and support providers for timely resolution of issues

Specific Capabilities/ Qualifications –
Professional Knowledge and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience with routing, switching, firewall, VPN and load balancing (Cisco, F5, Palo Alto and Akamai technologies).
  • Advanced route/switch troubleshooting and configuration skills (BGP, OSPF)
  • Experience with AWS networking and content delivery (VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53)
  • Experience and knowledge of Web caching and Proxy services (ATS)
  • Configuation of syslog and monitoring platforms (Nagios, Cacti and LogStash).
  • Knowledge and experience with VPN, DNS, SNMP, AD, DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS, NTP, Syslog
  • Desirable qualifications: Cisco CCNP / CCDP, AWS Certified SA – Associate level.
